About LakeArrowheadMap.com
What this site is
LakeArrowheadMap.com exists to answer the questions people actually type before driving up the mountain: Can I go? What does it cost? Where do I park? Is it open right now? Most Lake Arrowhead search results dodge the biggest one โ that the lake is private โ because the honest answer is awkward for anyone selling something. We lead with it, then cover what you can actually do instead.
How the facts get verified
Every fee, hour, and access rule on this site is checked against the official source โ the operator, the county, the Forest Service, Caltrans โ at the time the page is written, and every page carries a 'facts last verified' date at the bottom. Mountain operations change seasonally, so we re-check the perishable facts (advisories, seasonal openings, fees) on a recurring pass. When we get something wrong or something changes, we fix the page rather than defend it โ the Silverwood algae advisory and the members-only status of Grass Valley Park are both on this site precisely because we checked.
No business pays to appear here, and no placement is sponsored. Where we recommend eight restaurants or four lodgings, those are editorial picks. If we add booking links in the future they may earn a small commission at no cost to you โ and they will never change what we recommend.
Who's behind it
The same person who runs BigBearMap.com, the sister guide one mountain over โ an independent project, unaffiliated with the Arrowhead Lake Association, any resort, or San Bernardino County. This site exists because the Big Bear guide proved that plain, verified answers about fees and parking are what visitors actually need.
Spotted something out of date? We'd genuinely rather fix it than have you find out at the gate.
